We're looking for a seasoned and passionate Technical Lead to guide our talented Data Engineering team. You'll be a hands-on leader, responsible for the design, development, and deployment of scalable and robust data pipelines and infrastructure for our projects. You'll play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. - Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for data projects, ensuring best practices in data pipeline design, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data infrastructure (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, streaming platforms) on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes from various sources.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new data technologies and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of data engineering standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a technical team.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
- Extensive experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend, dbt).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Kimball, Inmon) and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with streaming data processing (e.g., Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark Streaming).
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
- Contributions to open-source data projects.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer).
